I started this blog so that I'd have somewhere to talk about guitars (music), and food (eating of, probably, but mostly cake). Yeah, clichéd I know. I've got FB, YT, Tumblr, Twitter etc accounts. And they're all fine, you know? But I need something more interactive, and something that allows me to blog & write better than FB does (even though I love the conciseness of Twitter). I've been doing the blogger thing for quite a few years now, this is my third...wow... We'll see. I've already let it fall into disuse for 2 years!! Let's hope I can keep this place clean and tidy! (I'm sure something'll fall down the back of the sofa, usually does)
Interests
Sure, I like music. Everyone says that, right? But, I kinda need it to breathe! Seriously. My kids, my guitar, and cake. These are the necessary things :-) I like a good movie, bottle of red wine sometimes, and holidays where I can take in breathtaking scenery, and maybe travel on a train. I know. Hmmm. I need a holiday.
I like Art, or more appropriately, I like to *learn* about art. I'm still a novice in the appreciation stakes.

What kind of person am I?
Well, that's an interesting question!? I'm no stranger to the internet and blogging n stuff. I've had the misfortune of having to work for a living, a lot of that in that area we call I.T (messing around with computers, basically). Why can't I meet someone rich... *sigh* But I'm generally a positive person! I've been through enough bad sh!t to avoid negativity, and generally try to appreciate each day. The simple things! Sunshine, nice cups of tea, and listening to music or playing my guitar. I am also a woman with a transsexual history. If you know what that means (don't ask me, 'cause I don't). For some folks that matters, but not to me really. Or those that I care about. Or care about me. So there.

It's "Lyra", from the Golden Compass. Kate Bush wrote a song with this title for the end credits for this movie of the Philip Pullman novel. "Lyra Belacqua" is her full name I believe...
Interestingly...according to Mr Google, Lyra is also a "she-hulk" character from Marvel comics.
